July 15th has been a special day at the Pappasole for years, it’s like a second 15th of August.
Precisely for this reason we always organize something special, but this year we wanted to exaggerate.
Are you ready to dress up in the fashion of the 70s and 80s?
But above all, do you remember the fantastic fashion of those years?
In the 70s fashion was going through a period of intense activity that gave life to different and sometimes contrasting styles.
Women’s clothing ranged from very long skirts with a very high waist to elephant leg trousers and then to very short trousers.
The shoe was wedged and the accessories were large and flashy, not to mention materials of all kinds and bright colors.
Men’s fashion, on the other hand, is divided in two: on the one hand, there is the more serious fashion made of high-waisted trousers with wide leg, while on the other hand there is the counter-trend fashion inspired by different cultures to give life to a more eccentric and extravagant style, made of sequins, lycra, and bright colors.
The trend that unites men’s and women’s fashion in the 70s is the importance given to personal taste.
The fashion of the 80s is very diversified, but one thing that emerges on everything is the importance given to the brand, it didn’t matter the fabric, the features, what mattered was to wear a signed garment.
Another fundamental element that distinguishes the clothes of this period is the color, the garments had to be colored and could be combined in a risky way.
It’s the era of leotards, fusaeaux, and legwarmers, a style well proposed by cult movies like Flashdance.
The premise was indispensable to make you understand the dress code required for the party.
We will have to have fun together with Radio Mania, which, in line with the dress code, will offer us only music suitable to make us have fun and go back in time!
