What does the White Whale represent?
The White Whale is the real attraction of the Bagni di San Filippo thermal baths and is a majestic limestone formation that inspired the name it bears, due to its colour and its resemblance to the snout of a whale.
Its formation is due to the flow of thermal waters not used by the establishment, which reach up to 48 degrees here.
San Filippo Thermal Baths prices
The San Filippo thermal baths are divided into free and private. The free ones known as the white whale spa or the white ditch spa are free and can be used all year round.
The private ones have a thermal pool and a wellness centre, as well as offering specific spa treatments. Since they are private, they have fixed hours and prices, which can be found on the official San Filippo spa website.
