EXTRACT FROM ORDINANCE NO. 10 OF 15/05/2012 AND FURTHER AMENDMENTS of the Municipality of Piombino.
The access for house pets is granted along Piombino coast in respecting the legal provision applicable to animals.
- Along the allowed stretches they could walk free under the owner control and with no muzzle or lead (except for special cases provided for law).
- During the bathing season (15th June – 15th September) and the holiday or before a holiday (1st May – 14th June/16th September – 30th September) it is strictly forbidden to bring or let walk house pets along the beaches mentioned below:
- Beach of the Gulf of Baratti from 130 meters north of the end of the archaeological excavations at the Fonte di S. Cerbone to 230 meters from “La Perla” restaurant, and from the end of the archaeological excavations at the Church of S. Cerbone to the boat slip way
- Calamoresca Beach
- Salivoli Beach
- Piazza Bovio beach
- The beach between Acquaviva ditch and 100 mt. from the west side of Corniaccia one
- Beach area between the west side of the Acquaviva ditch and the beginning of the concession beach section
- The beach between the east side of Corniaccia ditch and the border of municipal territory.
Owners have to use proper access to the sea to reach the dog beaches.
