The Sword in the Stone exists and is located in Tuscany, in the hermitage of Montesiepi, a stone’s throw from the open-air Abbey of San Galgano. It was the former noble knight and later hermit San Galgano who set it in the rock, to symbolise the end of his former life and the beginning of peace.
