Suvereto

Town Hall (Palazzo Comunale)

Built in the 1200s in Gothic style, it stands in the heart of the village. It was the seat of civil power and is still one of Suvereto’s most iconic buildings, with its stone external staircase and the civic tower that marked daily life with the sound of the bell.

Cloister and Convent of San Francesco

Constructed in the 13th century, it reflects the presence of Franciscan friars in the village. The cloister remains one of the most evocative and peaceful places in Suvereto, often used for exhibitions and cultural events.

Parish Church of San Giusto Vescovo

One of the oldest places of worship in the area, dating back to the 11th century, it is a significant example of Tuscan Romanesque architecture. The interior is simple yet highly evocative, with original columns and capitals.

Church of San Michele Arcangelo

A small Romanesque church located in the historic center, preserving medieval architectural elements and carved stone details.

Aldobrandesca Fortress (Rocca Aldobrandesca)

Built in the 12th century by the Aldobrandeschi family to control the territory, the fortress dominates the village from above. Today, parts of the walls and the tower remain, offering spectacular views over the hills and the Tuscan Archipelago.

Art Doll Museum

Located in the heart of the village, the museum hosts a unique collection of antique and artistic dolls from various eras and countries. It is a journey through time showcasing the history of toys, craftsmanship, and popular culture, fascinating both adults and children with rare pieces, meticulous details, and thematic exhibitions.

Cantina Petra

Just outside the village stands the futuristic “Petra” winery, designed by architect Mario Botta. A contemporary architectural work set among the vineyards, where guided tours and tastings are offered. It combines innovation with the tradition of Tuscan winemaking.
